No job contract renewals for expatriates over 60 yrs of age
The employment contracts of all expatriate employees over the age of 60 will not be extended further, revealed the recent ministerial decree.
The relevant announcement was made by the Undersecretary of Ministry of Defense, Jassar Al-Jassar.
He further pointed out that direct orders have been made by First Deputy PM and Defense Minister, Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak to replace citizens in place of expatriates who are on the verge of retirement.
Al-Jassar also passed a decision banning any change in job designation, allowances or granting pay hikes to expatriates to avoid further burdening on Ministry’s budget.
