Kuwait Airways to be privatized within months
Kuwait Airways Corporation (KAC) is likely to be privatized during the coming few months, and therefore all local carriers will become owned by the private sector, said An Nahar, the Minister of Communication and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs.
The recent leasing of an airplane aim to meet growing demand of KAC during summer, and it may lease another aircraft if the need arises, said Busairi.
The Kuwaiti government has signed a deal with an advisor to design and supervise the expansion of the Kuwait International Airport, so as to enable accommodation of 25 million passengers a year. The project is due for completion in the next three years.
