Kuwait plans privatization of education sector
The Ministry of Education is all set to implement several government-approved projects, including construction of 30 new state schools, to be privately operated, in co-ordination with local private school, the Civil Service Comission (CSC) and other such bodies.
The Ministry of Education will begin executing these, and other projects approved by the government, following the deal signed by the ministry departments regarding the final budget for academic year 2010-11.
A group of specialists, including the Undersecretary for Planning and Information by the Ministry, Dr. Khalid Al-Rashid and Professors from Kuwait University and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, has been assigned to offer consultative services in helping to implement all projects included in the work program of the Ministry, explained the Undersecretary of Education Ministry, Tamadher al-Sdairawi.
