Transformation of Kuwait Airways announced
Kuwait Airways shortly plans to modernize its aircraft, said a senior official of the national carrier.
The corporation is now undergoing a stage of preparation for privatization. Hence, once the entire process is completed, priority will be given to modernizing the aircraft, said Khalid al-Neshmi, said the Deputy Chief of the ground services department at the Corporation.
The Minister of Communications, Mohammed Al Busairi has re-assured that the carrier’s fleets would undergo maintenance, said al-Neshmi.
The official urged for co-operation between authorities, travellers and the airlines in this matter among all quarters involved.
Al-Neshmi revealed that the number of outgoing and incoming passengers had grown by 13 percent in 2009 compared to 2008.
