Labour Ministry to restrict transfer of visit visas to work permit
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labour, together with the Minister of Interior, has initiated procedures to restrict transfer of visit visas to work permit.
According to sources, the applicants will be required to oblige by certain conditions for approval of work permits. For instance, the applicant must possess university degree required by the market, apart from producing police clearance from state of origin.
Such a measure is aimed at reducing influx of marginal workers into the country, which has turned out to be a burden to the state in several ways.
In the meanwhile, the Ministry is also preparing the list of requirements of the work visa and effect of ministerial decisions on the market, which were passed for stability and reformation of work market.
