Female expat teachers permitted to sponsor spouses
The General Immigration Department has passed a decision permitting female expatriate teachers working under contract with the Ministry of Education to transfer their husbands residence under their sponsorship.
The decision was made effective after repeated requests by teachers, and has been approved across all governorates.
In the meanwhile, Interior Ministry has passed a notice instructing expatriate personnel at government departments to submit no-dues certificate from the Ministry of Water and Electricity for sanctioning of leave applications.
