Draft law to establish residential areas for expatriate workers
MP Askar Al-Enezi has presented draft bills on establishment of residential areas for expatriate workers.
Al-Enezi, in his press statement has listed the articles of his proposal, which emphasizes the prominence of constructing comfortable residential areas for expatriates, particularly for those who live in Kuwait without families.
Article One of the bill specifies a five-year period for the State of Kuwait, in co-operation with the private sector, to establish residential areas for expatriate workers. These areas need to be spacious enough to accommodate large number of expatriates living in Kuwait, away from their families.
These areas should include all necessary amenities such as health and security services, and ensure a comfortable life for expatriates, the article said.
