New Terminal at Kuwait International Airport
The Ministry of Public Works will sign the contract worth KD300mn for design of Kuwait International Airport Terminal 2, next month.
The project aims to increase the capacity of airport facilities from 7million passengers to more than 20million passengers every year.
As per the original plans, the new building will be located to the south of existing terminal.
The passenger traffic at the airport currently exceeds the maximum capacity, resulting in long queues during peak hours. This problem could be tackled through construction of new terminal, the sources at the airport said.
