Housing and infrastructure problems could hinder economic development
As said by a real estate specialist in Kuwait, any persistent problem pertaining to real estate matters or housing will be an obstacle to overall economic development.
Faraj Al-Khodari, the Professional Real Estate Chairman, is of the opinion that there should be a surplus of about ten to fifteen percent real estate surplus, so as to stablilize the rent rates and avoid problems.
According to Al-Khodari, the solution involves improving the designs of the streets, public facilities, squares etc., and provides a better environment for pedestrains.
He agreed that although improving services is the foundation of development, haphazard motorways and traffic jams could hinder development.
Al-Khodari has suggested construction of new roads, and offering parking lots, more bridges and alternative transportation, for solving traffic jam problems.
