No more free extension of visit visas in Kuwait
The extension of visit visas would be stopped immediately after the Eid vacation, revealed informed sources.
This decision is aimed to commence implementation of a new system wherein expatriates would have to pay a fee of KD15 as fee for visa extension for the first month, KD50 for the second and KD100 for the third.
Imposing a fee have become inevitable, following the experiences in neighbouring countries of Kuwait, and the collection of fee as per new regulation would be implemented from January or after the National and Liberation day celebrations in February.
Thereafter, those who stay in Kuwait after the conclusion of their visit period will be considered as violators of residency laws, and will be deported and blacklisted when caught. This would be applicable to all visitors, except, those admitted to hospitals for medical treatments, or those under special circumstances to be evaluated by immigration officials, the sources revealed.
