E-gate serves 20,000 visitors in 19 days
Kuwait e-gate has served about 20,000 visitors between the 12th and 30th November, revealed Abdulrahman Khalid Al-Ghnaim, the Kuwaiti Minister of Communications and Chairman of the Central Information Technology System of the Ministry.
Speaking to reporters the Minister said that visitors from 85 countries, including the UK, US, UAE, Germany, Egypt, Bahrain, Qatar and Jordan, accessed the gate. About 75,500 pages were viewed at an average of 3.9 page per visitor.
About 60 percent of the visitors entered the gate directly without using the link from other websites. The citizens and expatriates page, which served 10.3 percent of all visitors, was the most accessed, as it offers access to 26 services from 9 governmental bodies.
The page for business sector ranked second with about 2405 visitors.
The initial phase of the official e-gate project was launched in October last year, with the participation of 9 governmental administrations, namely, the Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Finance, Kuwait Municipality, Civil Service Commission, the Public Authority for Housing Care, Public Authority for Civil Information and Public Authority for Applied Education and Training.
