Kuwait warns demolition of illegally built structures without intimation
Authorities in Kuwait have announced demolition of any fence or structure erected on state-owned properties, without warning.
Speaking to the press, a member of the committee established for removal of illegal structures on state land, said that any fence or site built on state lands would be removed or demolished without any advance intimation.
The structures such as cement or non-cement fences, barbed wires, iron or cement doors, or metal mesh barricades would be removed by special teams.
As per the laws, violators are liable for punishments such as three months behind bars or a fine of KD1000.
Thousands of structures and diwaniyas built outside citizens’ owned plots have already been demolished by the authorities.
