PAHC signs deal with private firms for KD72mn Sabah Al-Ahmad City
The Public Authority for Housing Care (PAHC), signed deals worth KD72million with two private firms to chalk out the infrastructure for Sabah Al-Ahmad City of Southern Kuwait.
The Minister of Housing and State Minister for Development, Dr. Moudhi Al-Humoud, when speaking to the reporters said that the signing of the contract indicates the keenness by the Ministry towards implementing the state development plan , which includes cities of Kheiran, Saad Al-Abdullah and Mitlaa.
Through the signing of the contracts, she said that this was the first step forward towards co-operation with the private sector and agreed that the signing of this residential project indicates the confidence that she has over the Kuwaiti private sector and its proven excellence.
The first contract is worth KD28.2million with an execution period of 780 days, while the second, worth KD43.8million would take 840 days for completion, explained Al-Humoud.
The total area of the city will spread across 3500 hectares, with each housing unit requiring 600 square meters. The City is hoped to house 83,300 citizens and 32,800 expatriates.
The City will also offer complete sport amenities, apart from entertainment and educational institutions.
