The first-of-its-kind Value Account launched by Burgan Bank in Kuwait
The Burgan Bank yesterday announced the opening of Burgan Value Account. It is a service tailor-made to suit the requirements of the expatriate community in Kuwait.
Being the first-of-its-kind in Kuwait, it offers benefits such as life insurance coverage together with Gulf Insurance Company, attractive currency exchange rates that enables easy remittance of funds to home countries, and a credit card that offers a chance to win cash prizes through monthly draws.
It also provides an opportunity to win a year’s salary from monthly draws up to a maximum of KD4000. The account opens with a credit card and credit limit equivalent of one month’s salary, an ATM Visa Electron card that gives access to funds from over one million ATM worldwide, and several other amenities such as SMS alert services, and phone banking.
The ‘all-in-one’ global access account can be opened by expatriates who earn minimum of KD200 or more. The account could be opened on providing the civil ID card, salary certificate, and bank statements of past three months as document proof.
The Burgan Chief Executive, Jonathan Lyon, said “Based on our research, we have clubbed the financial services required most by expats, including life insurance and fund remittance.”
Burgan Bank has been acknowledged as “The Best Local Private Bank’ in Kuwait, and has emerged as the winner of the region’s first ever ‘Hawkamah-UAB Bank Governance Award 2007’.
