Kuwait focuses on major urban development
The third state structural plan recently issued by Amiri Decree outlines major urban development for future, revealed the Structural Planning Director at Kuwait Municipality, Eng Saud Al-Muhailbi.
The issuance of the structural plan has been the result of two years of preparation on the part of various government bodies, he added.
The plan includes several major indications for future urban development, including employment, housing, industry, health, education, energy and laying of roads and communications, Al Muhailbi said.
The plan underwent three phases – the first being collection of information and data from ministries, used as the base for placing the plan, the second is referring the plan to Municipal Council for review and commentary, and the third being referring the plan to the cabinet for approval, Al-Muhailbi explained.
