Expatriates with GCC residency visa, now granted entry into Kuwait
Expatriates holding residency visas of any of the GCC countries are permitted entry into Kuwait now by obtaining a tourist visa at any of the entry points in the country.
The First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Acting Interior Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah passed on a resolution that amends the previous ministerial decisions regulating entry GCC residents of any state into the country.
As per the new regulations, foreigners holding residency visa with a validity period of minimum six months in any of the GCC countries can now enter Kuwait with a tourist visa issued at border checkpoints, ports and exits.
This law would be applicable to Lawyers, Pharmacists, Engineers, Consultants, Prosecutors, Judges, Journalists, Professors, Computer Data Analysts, Diplomats, Business Managers, Owners and Managers of business companies and University degree holders.
The other GCC countries, apart from Kuwait, are Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
