Kuwait plans to put an end to housing problems of women
The Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) has announced that it has completed the work on draft proposals to resolve the housing problems of divorced and widowed Kuwaiti women in accordance with the housing laws in the country.
The PAHW Deputy Director, Subi Yousuf al-Mulla, said that the management committee of the authority recently met with Housing Minister, Dr. Moudi Al-Humoud, to discuss the problem and possible solutions. The committee had put forward several proposals to resolve the housing problems of these women.
He also revealed that PAHW has taken into consideration the special circumstance of Kuwaiti women, who has not been provided with residential care, including divorcees with kids, or widow with kids, who have not been benefited from the housing as a family.
All these proposals will now be forwarded to relevant committees for further study and then will be submitted to the Minister, along with any additional suggestions, to enable him to take appropriate decision, al-Mulla revealed.
