First women only Islamic holding company established in Kuwait
The first Islamic holding company, fully established and directed by women, which aims to serve the women population in the country, has been launched in Kuwait. The official launch of the Tejarati Holding Co. KSCC was announced during a press conference yesterday at the Sahara Club, and is now open for subscription to Kuwaiti women of all age groups till the end of the month.
The unique goals of the newly formed investment company includes, activating the role of woman in the economic field involving women in the development process of the company, leading and decision making role in the country affairs, and bearing an impact on the entire society.
Tejarati also plans to establish a group of developing companies in future. The companies are expected to bring rewarding investment revenues for the shareholders.
“We will strive hard to achieve our capital profits and at the same time, meeting our strategic development goals,” said Haya Al-Sahli, Head of Founding Committee.
The company has a paid-up capital of KD30million, divided into 300 million shares for subscription value of 100 fils per share, and additional 5 fils as establishing charges. The minimum limit for investment is 100,000 shares.
The company has assured that it does not mean to generate any gender discrimination by establishing a company for women. The General Co-ordinator of the company, Nableela Al-Anjeri, said Tejarati will be dealing with men and will have strategic partners from men as well.
“About 51 percent of the society comprises the women population, with special needs, that weren’t discovered by the existing companies, and hence we have come to the market,” Nabeela commented.
Tejarati will offer an opportunity for women to invest and work in a comfortable environment. Women will be given an opportunity to improve their skills, invest in diverse fields such as health, education and other sectors. Tejarati is also encouraging women to play a pivotal role in the private sector as well.
