Housing for citizens, emphasized
A Municipal Council candidate of fourth constituency, Bader Ahmad Al-Kandari, has reiterated the prominence of accomplishing the state general structural plans, and has stated that authorities should secure housing for more than 5 million people in 30 years.
Speaking during a seminar, Al-Kandari said that Kuwait needs to achieve a balance in usage of private housing plots and land sections meant for investment in the country's overall development schemes.
Al-Kandari asserted the need for allocating sufficient parts of land to accommodate nearly 5 million people by the year 2030 in southern regions. He stressed on the importance of joining efforts between the Minister of Municipality and the Municipal Council members to speed up the approval of plans meant for that purpose, apart from the private sector support, to speed up the construction process.
Kuwait needs to be transformed into a financial and economic hub and it is no-longer difficult to achieve this, given the availability of the required potentials and resources for achieving this purpose, he said.
He also emphasized on the role of Municipal Council towards development of the country’s tourism, construction and other services.
