Etihad introduces two new Kuwait-India routes
Etihad Airways has announced the introduction of flights to Kozhikode and Chennai in India, from its Kuwait and Abu Dhabi home base, beginning 1st August 2008.
To mark the celebration of inauguration of the two net routes to India, Etihad has announced a new promotional fare, starting from KD 70 return.
Etihad will fly to Kozhikode (Calicut) from Kuwait via Abu Dhabi, on a daily basis, which in turn, will reduce the time required to meet the needs of passengers, irrespective of whether from Kuwait or Abu Dhabi, and will finally arrive at Calicut.
The airline will also operate flights to Chennai, four times a week from Kuwait via Abu Dhabi.
“With the introduction of these services, Etihad emphasizes its intention to build up its Indian services through Abu Dhabi and Kuwait, and looks towards expanding its flying programme from Kuwait, due to the huge increase in the numbers of Indian expatriates residing in Kuwait,” said Magdi Labib, Country Manager, Ethihad – Kuwait.
