Jazeera Airways to offer in-flight mobile service
Low-budget carrier, Jazeera Airways, announced that it will provide passengers with in-flight mobile telephone services, during later part of this year.
The service will include SMS text messages and internet service, the company said.
Ever-since its inception during October 2005, Jazeera owns six Airbus A320s and touches 25 destinations in the Middle East and Asia, besides the Cyprus and Turkey, at highly reduced rates.
The exact date for the launch is yet to be revealed.
Emirates, the Dubai-based airline, was the first carrier in the world, to commercially launch an in-flight mobile telephone service on March 20th this year.
