Deadline announced for demolition of all encroachments on state-property
The Government officials in Kuwait announced that a decision has been taken to demolish all encroachments on state property without entertaining any objections on the issue, whether from the MPs or from general Public.
According to the officials, the decision would be first enforced on higher authorities such as the Minister, and the MPs, followed by Municipal Council Members and finally general public.
The officials announced that demolitions would commence in the Abdullah Al-Salem residential area, and will proceed to other areas soon. The demolition process is expected to begin on 2nd March, followed by a press conference by Gen. Mohammad Al-Bader, during which, he would grant appropriate time to all concerned to demolish the encroachments on their own or face the demolition squads.
He re-iterated that the grace period provided would be sufficient enough for the squads to commence their work, and there would be no exceptions to any encroachments on government property.
