Kuwaiti Government to launch e-gateway service next year
The Electronic gateway by the Kuwaiti Government, grouping all the services of the state on a single website, will be launched next year, revealed the Director General of Central Agency for Information Technology, Ali Al Shireeda.
Speaking during an award function ceremony held for awarding best websites among government institutions, Al Shireeda said, the new gateway would be a major qualitative leap in government services via the internet, and at a later stage, the state bodies would not have independent websites, and all services would be merged into a single site, for each access.
He said, it has also been planned to make electronic services accessible through the mobile phone. The Chairman and Managing Director, Global Connection, Mansour Al-Moussa, said the exhibition proved to be more popular this year, than the previous year, with 250,000 visitors.
Among the website competition, organized by Global Connect, the first place among the 22 government institutions went to the Defence Ministry, followed by the Finance Ministry, and the KAC.
