Kuwaitis can now enjoy a Visa-free stay in Hong Kong
Kuwaitis and all Middle East nationals will be entitled to a 30-day visa-free stay in Hong Kong (HK) city, announced the Immigration Department.
Beginning 4th of February 2008, all nationals of Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Jordan, can have their visa-free visit period to Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, with the duration extended from the current 14 days to 30 days, the department mentioned in their statement.
“This extension of visa-free visit period for these nationals, will further improve the investment, business, trade and tourism ties between Hong Kong and these nations,” the statement said.
Currently, nationals of about 170 countries and territories get to enjoy a visa-free access to Hong Kong, for a period of 7 to 180 days, reveals the department.
The statement also assured that the Immigration Department would regularly review its visa procedures and take into consideration factors such as the economic, social and political situation of the concerned countries and territories.
