The traffic department will be using advanced electronic devices to issue and renew driving licenses of Kuwaitis online in all six governorates, the Interior Ministry sources said.

The sources pointed out that the GTD will embark on the project to in two months to renew and issue driving licenses to Kuwaitis only. The expats, may, however, be included in the project in future.

According to the sources in the ministry, the Interior Ministry plans to create and electronic window for receiving the transactions, which will be verified by the employees and the applicant can collect the license from a device. The procedure is similar to that being done by the Public Authority for Civil Information for renewal of Civil IDs.
