Parents and In-laws allowed three months stay on visit visa

The Assistant Undersecretary for Residency Affairs, Maj. Gen. Talal Marafi has issued a decision that permits members of the family like parents and in-laws to stay for three months, rather than one month, while on visit visa.

According to sources, this first step of reform was taken, as Marafi was briefed through a detailed report explaining the pressure and rush witnessed at the Residency Affairs Department in all six governorates, in their bid to extend visit visa, which had just one month validity, saying that the trend affects the system of work in the departments.
