Kuwait Ministry restricts Absence Permission on Visas

The Assistant Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Travel Documents, Maj. Gen. Sheikh Faisal Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah has announced restrictions on the issuance of absence permission on visas. The permission, henceforth, would be granted only for study, medication and humanitarian conditions, based on certain conditions and standards.

The absence permission is generally given to residents in Kuwait who are required to leave the country for extended periods of time, so as to avoid cancellation of their visas.

Sheikh Faisal also instructed to find solutions for Syrian residency violators who had entered Kuwait with visit visas.

Those with salaries of KD450 or more are eligible to apply for family visas for their wives and kids. A study is currently being carried out to extend family visas for parents and siblings too in such cases.
