New Terminal at Kuwait International Airport ready for opening

The Terminal Four (T4) of Kuwait International Airport is ready for opening next month. HH the Prime Minister, Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah commended the authorities and workers for their efforts in completing the project.

The Prime Minister also appreciated the efforts of all authorities and workers towards modernizing infrastructure of air transport and cargo sector in Kuwait Airport, honouring HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah’s 2035 New Kuwait Vision, which is aimed at transforming Kuwait into a trade and financial hub.
HH Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak also met Kuwaiti Engineers and supervisors at T4, who emphasized that the project was on schedule.

The Terminal 2 is ready for opening in 2020. The Terminal 4 contains 14 gates, and is aimed at reducing the traffic on the current terminal. The project, costing $127.6mn, contains 4.5 mn passengers annually and is likely to augment the existing terminal, which has been operating beyond capacity for years now, until the Terminal 2, which is under-construction gets operational in 2020. The Terminal 2 is worth $4.3bn, with a design capacity for 25 million annual passengers.
