Health Ministry reviews exemption on expats health fee

The health ministry is reviewing its decision to exempt certain categories from increased health fee for expats which will get effective from 1st October.

MPs have been objecting the exclusion of thousands of expats from new charges.

Health Minister Jamal Al- Harbi formed a team to review these categories, which will submit its report by mid-September. According to sources, the team will remove health ministry workers and their relatives from exemption list, as they are large in numbers (more than 50,000), and lack of any justification to exempt them.
