Health Ministry likely to increase fee on visit visa arrivals

The Ministry of Health is now reviewing its decision to increase the fees of those arriving Kuwait on visit visas, and plans to make them on par with private sector hospitals.

As per latest report, the Ministry will approve the amendments to fee structure over the next couple of days.

The daily also says that the latest price list, which includes about 200 medical examinations, including Nuclear medicine, Radiology and laboratory tests.

Meanwhile, in another development, the Health Ministry has suspended the local recruitment of expat nurses, it has been reported.

Local recruitment to public hospitals and medical centres has been suspended, except those who obtained nursing certificates from Kuwait. It is said that the ministry will hire nurses from abroad through the Committees formed for the purpose. These recruitment committees comprise of nurses who travel to various countries to interview the applicants and conduct examinations to choose the most qualified candidate.
