Kuwait MP once again proposes fee for services provided to expats

Kuwait MP Dr Abdulrahman Al-Jeeran has once again emphasized the need to increase fee and charges for the services provided to expats, and review their bank accounts. Al-Jeeran also called for reduction in number of expat communities living in the country, particularly known for committing crimes and violating laws.

He emphasized on the importance of striking a balance between the number of members in each community and developments required and their role in vital projects. He said that it is possible to review the bank accounts of expats through free-access law and through confirmation on importance of country’s higher interests.

He emphasized that fee should be imposed on services provided to expats without discrimination. He suggested increasing fees for medical treatments in hospitals, residency fee, polyclinics, health insurance, and renewal of driving licenses, taking into account the fact that number of expats in Kuwait has exceeded three million.
