Kuwait may win Schengen visa exemption soon

Kuwait has touched an advanced point in negotiations with European Union to exempt Kuwait nationals from Schengen visa, said well-informed government sources. The government has been working hard for a while now, to secure free travel in European Countries by getting Schengen visa exemption.

They further said that Kuwait will soon become the second Gulf Cooperation Council to sign an exemption deal with EUl following UAE.

Schengen visa is the document issued by appropriate authorities to the interested parties for travelling/visiting the Schengen area. It also comprises 26 countries that have been allowed free movement of their nationals within area as a single country. Among the 26 countries surrounding the Schengen deal, 22 form part of EU and the other 4 form part of EFTA. The Schengen area covers majority of European Countries.
